MUSIC SHOW AND TELL!

Don't forget! Next week is Music Show and Tell Week! Here's what you can do!

o  -   Perform your NYSSMA solo or a song/piece/dance you wrote yourself.  If you take music lessons, this is the time to show off what you’ve learned!
o   -  Bring in an instrument/souvenir (or picture of an instrument) you received from somewhere/someone special
o -    A photograph or souvenir of a musical experience (concert program, playbill, tee-shirt from a concert or musical event, tickets to a musical event, etc.)
o   -  A CD* of your favorite music, or a song that is meaningful to you, or a song that you learned a dance to, etc.
o   -  A musical book or sheet music that you like
o  -   If you don’t have anything to bring in but would like to participate you can show us what music means to you in a picture or poster. You can write a song or choreograph a dance!  Get creative!

*Please do not bring in iPods, iPads, tablets, phones or any other electronics.*
We do not want anything valuable broken or stolen!

*CDs only!!*

We are very lucky to have music class here at St. James Elementary. To celebrate, we are going to have “Music Show & Tell” during your scheduled music class beginning on Monday March 23rd-Friday March 27th

If you have something you’d like to share, please have it ready by the designated date on the back of this sheet.  This is NOT mandatory.  It is a chance for any student who wants to show off their talent(s), their appreciation for music, or a musical souvenir.  Think of this as a mini-talent show!

Broadway Program Cover

If you'd like to enter our Program Cover Contest, please submit your creation by Wednesday, March 25th. It should have the following:

-  Incorporate all 4 shows in the cover (Peter Pan, Annie, Wizard of Oz, and Lion King)
- Use a standard sheet of white printer paper
- Outline in pencil and go over it with black Sharpie
- Include the title "5th Grade Broadway Bonanza 2015"
- Don't forget your name at the bottom! :)

Good Luck!
